Scream Factory has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of Mick Garris' film Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990), starring Anthony Perkins, CCH Pounder, and Henry Thomas. The release will be available for purchase on August 23.

Synopsis: A seemingly rehabilitated Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) is drawn to a late night radio show where the host (CCH Pounder) encourages him to share his views on the topic of matricide. Reliving his childhood, Norman recounts his trials of a young boy (Henry Thomas) living with his widowed schizophrenic mother (Olivia Hussey). These haunting memories are more than just disturbing visions of the past; they threaten to rekindle his killing urge in this spine-tingling thriller directed by Mick Garris (The Stand, Masters of Horror).

We’re practically foaming at the mouth (sorry, couldn’t resist) with anticipation about our upcoming release of David Cronenberg’s Canadian-made classic RABID! Here’s the early details we have so far:
- Official street date is planned for November 22.
- This will be a branded as a "Collector's Edition" that will come with a slipcover.
- The gruesome, newly-commissioned front-facing artwork you see pictured comes to us from the CRP Group. Purists though will be pleased that we will include the iconic original theatrical image (dead woman in the freezer) on the reverse side of the wrap.
- Bonus features and specs are still in progress and will be announced sometime in Sept/Oct.

Hot off the heels of yesterday’s exciting RABID news, we bring you more Cronenberg today in the
form of his 1988 masterpiece DEAD RINGERS! Here’s the early details we have so far:
- Official street date is planned for November 15th
- This will be a branded as a "Collector's Edition" that will come with a slipcover.
- The simple (and yet very effective and appropriate) newly-commissioned front-facing artwork you
see pictured comes to us from the CRP Group. Purists though will be pleased that we will include
the original theatrical image on the reverse side of the wrap.
- Bonus features and specs are still in progress and will be announced sometime in Sept/Oct.

***BUBBA HO-TEP Update***

Bruce Campbell (Ash Vs Evil Dead) plays “Elvis”, who takes on a 3,000 year-old mummy in BUBBA HO-TEP, the 2002 cult horror-comedy classic from Director Don Coscarelli (Phantasm). Here’s the early details we have so far:

- Official street date is planned for November 8th
- This will be a branded as a "Collector's Edition" that will come with a slipcover.
- The Coscarelli-approved newly-commissioned front-facing artwork you see pictured comes to us from artist Joel Robinson (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, The Serpent and the Rainbow). The original theatrical poster image will be on the reverse side of the wrap.
